WOW! I cannot believe it has been over two years since I last posted to this blog! So much has changed during this time - my husband and moved to a new house and I switched careers. Also, I have done so much cooking since then and have found so many new favorites that I wish I would have shared on here!
I originally created this blog as part of my hobby of cooking, and to also encourage both me and anyone who reads this blog to try out new recipes. I definitely have been much better about experimenting in the kitchen and trying out new recipes over the last couple years, to the point that I can't keep track of all of our new favorites! I normally try to make 2-3 new recipes each week and rotate some of our tried-and-true favorites each week as well. The problem now is I can't remember what I've made in the past to repeat! I've also gotten quite the cookbook collection now and regularly follow several cooking blogs - there are so many more new recipes I want to try! My goal is now to start updating the blog to remember all our favorites to make again as well as to continue trying out new recipes that could be future favorites for my family and yours!

First recipe up is Spinoccoli Pizza! My husband's favorite food is most definitely pizza, and I've been trying out a lot of new pizza recipes lately. This recipe is one of our favorites as the white sauce adds so much flavor, and I love the flavor of the roasted broccoli on top which gets nice & crispy during cooking.
So many times we haven't had groceries on hand, so we'll order pizza delivery or takeout for convenience. Now I normally have some homemade pizza crust handy in the freezer! My favorite pizza crust recipe makes enough for two pizzas. So I normally use one crust the day of, and freeze the other for a super easy and delicious dinner in the future! To thaw it out, all you need to do is put it in the refrigerator the night before and it's perfect the next day! It is one of my absolute favorite make ahead ideas. You can find the pizza crust recipe I use on the Annies-Eats blog here: http://www.annies-eats.com/2010/04/29/perfect-homemade-pizza-crust-tips-and-tricks/
